WORKSHOP PRESENTATION:

At the DIY: CNC ENGRAVER workshop you will assemble your own small CNC engraver from scratch. We will be adapting the frame and structure of a Prusa i3 3D printer to become a fully functional wood engraver machine. And the best of all: The CNC engraver will be yours at the end of the workshop!!

All the technology used in the workshop is open-source and wide spread, being perfect for beginners that will be able to find a lot of information and help in internet community.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION:

OBJECTIVE: The course is designed to be an introduction to CNC engraver machines and CNC robot technologies. The participants will assemble a CNC engraver from scratch and learn how to use it.

TARGET AUDIENCE: Product designers, hobbyist, architects, artists, craftsmen, mechanics or anybody willing to get started into the universe of CNC machinery. No previous knowledge of electronics or programming is required.

WORKSHOP MATERIAL: You will need to bring your own laptop. The Prusa i3 assembly kit and the soldering iron used during the workshop will be provided.
