WORKSHOP PRESENTATION:

At the DIY: CNC MILL workshop you will assemble your own small CNC milling machine from scratch. We will be adapting the frame and structure of a Prusa i3 3D printer to become a fully functional milling machine. And the best of all: You will get back home with your own brand new CNC milling machine!!

All the technology used in the workshop is open-source and wide spread, being perfect for beginners that will be able to find a lot of information and help in internet community.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION:

OBJECTIVE: The course is designed to be an introduction to CNC milling machines and CNC robot technologies. The participants will assemble a CNC mill from scratch and learn how to use it.

TARGET AUDIENCE: Product designers, hobbyist, architects, artists, craftsmen, mechanics or anybody willing to get started into the universe of digital manufacturing and CNC machinery. No previous knowledge of electronics or programming is required.

WORKSHOP MATERIAL: You will need to bring your own laptop. The Prusa i3 assembly kit and the Proxxon precision grinder used during the workshop will be provided.
